2012 Election Year!

by Kristina on January 25, 2012

It’s 2012, and for Americans that means a Presidential election year.  Commercials on TV are already filled with messages about the candidates, and media outlets are reporting information about the big race.

It’s also election time here at Truliant.  Because we’re a credit union that’s owned by our member-owners, we have a democratic process for electing our volunteer Board of Directors.

“Each member-owner, age 16 and over, as of November 30, 2011, is eligible to vote. As a credit union, each eligible member-owner is entitled to one vote.”

I like knowing that my voice can be heard through my vote, especially at my financial institution.  And voting is so easy!  You can vote by mail (ballots were sent with your December statements), by phone at 1-800-274-4675 or online. You can also check out the candidate’s bios .

And if you have any questions about the process, you can get more information by calling us or visiting your nearest Member Financial Center.

So make 2012 the year your vote counts, not just for our country’s President, but for the Board of Directors here at Truliant too! Hurray voting ends February 11th!
