Member-Owners Love Their Credit Unions

by Truliant on December 14, 2011

It’s nice to be recognized for our commitment to our member-owners, and a new customer satisfaction survey does just that! According to the 2011 American Customer Service Satisfaction index, scores show customers are very happy with their credit unions and less than happy with big banks.

From the article in the Winston-Salem Journal:

The index, released Tuesday, provides monthly satisfaction scores from interviews with about 70,000 household consumers. It measures at least 225 companies in 47 industries.

The satisfaction score for credit unions rose 8.7 percentage points to 87 points on a scale of 0 to 100. The index said it is the highest satisfaction score ever for any of the 47 industries.

The index reported a 79 satisfaction score for smaller banks.

Of the four largest banks, Citigroup Inc. and Wells Fargo & Co. were tops with scores of 73, followed by JP Morgan Chase & Co. at 70 and Bank of America Corp. at 68.
