Money Management 101: Wake up everybody!

by Rebecca on September 9, 2010

I believe that we all need to wake up to what’s really happening in our financial world! I recently read a “blip” in my favorite magazine (I admit, it’s not Money… it’s People) about John Legend, The Roots, Common and Melanie Fiona re-recording the once popular song by Harold Melvin’s Blue Notes titled “Wake Up Everybody” Here’s a verse: “Wake up everybody, no more sleepin’ in bed. No more backward thinkin’, time for thinkin’ ahead!”

So, whether you’re a Baby Boomer (born between 1946-1964) and know the old school song or a Millennial (born between 1977-1998) and have heard the new song), it’s time to wake up and get involved in your financial destiny! Baby Boomers should be finding ways to reduce debt, save money and prepare for retirement. While, if you are a Millennial, the best thing to do is manage your debt and save for your future.

No matter what Life Stage you’re in; seek advice from a trusted financial partner like Truliant, who can help you with your financial goals!
