Success Story: Looking out for Members

At Truliant, we have an internal Success Story Inbox that allows staff to share some of the great things they are doing to help our member-owners. For instance, here’s a short story from our North Point Member Financial Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

“I spoke with a member a few days ago that said she was going to purchase a car. During our conversation I asked if I could check our rates for her, but she said that there was no need because she was already approved for a rate of 4% on a new car.

I then mentioned that she needed to be certain about the rate prior to signing any papers, but unfortunately she must have gotten caught up in the excitement.

She came back today with her paperwork and I saw that the rate was over 18%! Her payments were $292.00 and the total P&I at end of term totaled over $17k – keep in mind that she only financed $10,432.00.

We were able to approve her for an auto loan at a rate of 8.25% and a monthly payment of $199.87. Her total P&I at the end of our loan will be $13,191.00, which is a savings of nearly $4,000. She was excited to say the least!”
