Thanksgiving used to just mean a few days off from school and an excuse to eat too much pumpkin pie. These days it means so much more… I’m thankful for my family, friends, the beautiful NC weather… and my credit union.
That’s right, my credit union!
I know it may sound a bit odd to add a credit union to the things I’m thankful for, but I really mean it. I talk to people everyday who tell me about the fees they incur and the strings that are attached to their bank accounts. I love being able to tell them about our products and services that we offer with their best interests in mind. Stuff that will benefit their financial well-being.
I was recently able to help a lady who was having a difficult time with her current bank. She was so excited to learn about our Senior Advantage checking account. It took her a minute to comprehend the fact that she would have free checks, higher dividends paid for the funds in her account and a free Visa debit card. She was so thankful, she had the same big smile she left with when she came back in a week later!
Spreading the word that Truliant is a place where people can reach the full potential of their financial lives, is something I enjoy. I’m thankful that I have the opportunity to help Truliant member-owners each and every day.
And I’m thankful I don’t have to worry about my accounts while I’m chowing down on my mom’s turkey and stuffing… And her pumpkin pie!
