Essential Functions:
The Consumer Underwriter/Indirect Dealer Representative must be able to do the following:

• Underwrite loan requests submitted from dealerships, call center/member financial center and third party channels
• Maintain acceptable level of decision speed
• Maintain acceptable approval percentage while adhering to Credit Union guidelines and policy
• Identify member needs/recognize and suggest cross sell opportunities
• Keep open lines of communication with other departments of the Credit Union
• Recognize and mitigate potential losses to Credit Union in the form of fraudulent or risky loan requests
• Responsibilities include marketing and underwriting to prospective automotive dealerships, both franchise and independent
• Initiate and develop a strong business relationship, by educating dealership personnel on the benefits of using our program
• Maintain close and continuous contact with finance managers, sales managers and GM's to maximize number of qualifying contracts being purchased by Truliant

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred.  Five years relevant underwriting, automobile sales, audit, or financial services experience required.  Excellent communication, organizational, and problem solving skills required.  Strong consumer finance and lending knowledge; extensive computer skills and knowledge of various types of software.  Must be a self motivator and be able to work independently; make quick and accurate lending decisions.  Work well under pressure of time deadlines and pays close attention to detail.  Travel is required.
