Job Title: Financial Analyst I
 
Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina
 
Days/Hours: Full-time position
 

Essential Functions:

The Financial Analyst applies principles of accounting to analyze past and present financial operations, and estimates future revenues and expenditures.  Also, responsible for maintaining one or more of the analysis and reporting software tools, such as Organization, Profitability System, the Product Profitability System or the Balanced Scorecard.

 
Minimum Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.  Minimum of one to three years experience in financial reporting, analysis, or functional cost and profitability required, preferably in financial services.  Exposure to non-accounting functions, financial products and services and their relationship to accounting preferred.  Working knowledge of the fundamentals of the financial industry required.  Must have sound understanding of accounting procedures and concepts.  Advanced MS Excel skills, including macros required.  Must have the ability to generate and analyze research data including a working knowledge of appropriate financial analysis techniques.  Working knowledge of reporting software required; Crystal reports preferred.  Database skills required, with knowledge of Access, Visual Basic, and SQL preferred.  Must have excellent project management skills, with working knowledge of Microsoft Project.  Must be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills.  Must be able to perform, interpret, and analyze financial information.
