Truliant Federal Credit Union Presents
Local Nonprofits with a Community Mini-Grant
 
Who: Truliant Federal Credit Union
What: GrantCheck Presentation
When: Thursday, September 4, 2008 at 9 a.m.
Where: Wesley Center of the First United Methodist Church in Gastonia, NC.
Why: Truliant Federal Credit Union will award Voices for Kids, Inc. with a $500 community mini-grant at the Wesley Center of the First United Methodist Church in Gastonia, N.C. Grant funds will be used to help the organization with operational expenses for activities for children of the Guardian ad-Litum Program.
 
The Truliant Community Mini-Grant program is designed to enhance operational support for nonprofit agencies that serve low-wealth individuals or underserved communities where Truliant operates. To qualify for the mini-grant, community and faith-based agencies had to impact one or more of the following areas: health or human services programs, youth, affordable housing, financial literacy or economic development.
 
After Truliant conducted grant workshops in 13 regions throughout North Carolina, Virginia and South Carolina, one hundred and ten (110) organizations submitted grants.
