Winston-Salem, N.C. (February 9, 2009) – Steve Joiner, President of Truliances, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Truliant Federal Credit Union, was elected to the Members Development Company (MDC) Board of Directors in January at the organizations annual meeting. The MDC was established in 1999 as a collaborative effort to respond to the credit union industry’s need to have an effective and efficient process to research and develop products and services for use by credit union members.
“I’m looking forward to helping the credit union system through my involvement with MDC, continuing Truliant’s long association since the inception of the company and through our CEO Marc Schaefer’s years of service on the board,” said Joiner. “MDC is one of the best examples of credit union collaboration I know of and I hope to bring my experience to bear on its continuing efforts.”
Joiner began his career in the 1970s with the Virginia Credit Union League where he helped launch more than 20 credit unions. Throughout his career Joiner pioneered one of the nation’s first auto leasing services and auto buying services and has also gained national exposure for his innovative partnerships, collaborations and marketing. In addition to Joiner’s role as President of Truliances, LLC, he serves on the senior management team for Truliant Federal Credit Union.
Truliances, LLC, offers investment and trust services, financial planning and investing, a MEMBERS Trust Company representative office, an auto buying service, a variety of insurance programs and business products for member-owners of Truliant.
