Truliant Grant Workshop will also cover Recovery Act Grant Opportunities
Greensboro, N.C. (June 8, 2009) -Marjorie Rorie, director of community services for Truliant Federal Credit Union will conduct a grant workshop onJune 11at 7 p.m. at the Ashtae Galleria located at 1325 South Eugene Street in Greensboro. She will be joined by Algenon Cash, managing director of Wharton Gladden, a boutique real estate investment banking firm, who will speak on Recovery Act grant opportunities at the Bridge, a business networking group of Onpoint Media, Inc. The session will allow organizations to learn about the Truliant Community Mini-Grant and also gain valuable information about how the Federal Stimulus Funds can affect nonprofits.
To qualify for the Truliant Community Mini-Grant, community and faith-based agencies have to impact one or more of the following areas: health or human services programs, youth, affordable housing, financial literacy or economic development.

Grant applications are available at the Truliant Member Financial Centers in Greensboro at 6912 Downwind Road or 2914 South Elm-Eugene Street. The grant deadline is Wednesday, July 15, 2009.
