Greensboro, N.C. (April 30, 2012) - Truliant Federal Credit Union will conduct a free grant workshop on Saturday, May 19, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship at 2007 Yanceyville Street in Greensboro.
The session will allow organizations to learn about the Truliant Community Mini Grant as well as gain valuable information about successfully writing grants. To qualify for the Truliant mini grant, community and faith-based agencies must impact one or more of the following areas: health or human services programs, youth, affordable housing, financial literacy or economic development. ”We awarded thirty-one mini grants to nonprofit organizations in our markets last year,” according to Marjorie Rorie, director of community services for Truliant.
Grant applications will be available at local Truliant Member Financial Centers starting May 15, 2012, or can be downloaded from the community focus section of Truliant’s corporate website at TruliantFCU.org. The grant deadline is June 29, 2012.
