About Us

About Us

Truliant FCU Membership. Truliant has 22 Member Financial Centers in four states, more than 180,000 members, over 105,000 just in North Carolina, and over $1billion in assets.
Local Economic Impact. Truliant is an important contributor to the local economy. We employ over 240 people in the Piedmont Triad and over 400 company-wide. We participate in the Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau and other civic organizations in most areas.

Providing Needed Financial Services. We offer our members a wide array of financial services, including low-cost consumer loans, systematic savings and investments, financial planning and counseling, free checking options and no-surcharge ATMs. According to the Consumer Federation of America, the average family household saves between $200 and $500 each year by choosing to join a credit union like ours.

Serving Local Businesses. We serve over 900 employers and their employees in North Carolina.  We call these employers Business Partners. Over 70% of our Business Partners have fewer than 5000 employees and thus qualify as small businesses. They are too small to start their own credit union for their employees so we provide them that option. We are also able to offer small business loans – our average loan is around $64,719. We are also participants in the SBA’s 7(a) lending program

Serving People of Modest Means.
Our credit union serves the community, including low and middle-income families. For example, 25% of our overall membership work in the manufacturing, textile or service industry. Over 30% of our members have average annual incomes of under $40,000 per year. We have over $40 million in home loans outstanding to this group and over $42 million in auto loans. Over 42% of these members who have checking accounts also have overdraft protection loans at an average rate of 11.34% APR compared to courtesy pay products that can average 30% APR.

Serving our Community.
Truliant is dedicated to giving back to the local community. Last year, Truliant employees logged over 10,000 community service hours. We offer a scholarship program for our members who are attending a two or four-year college. We sponsor annual blood drives and a youth safety and health fair. Our employees participate in fundraisers for Victory Junction Gang Camp, March of Dimes and American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. In High Point, we have partnered with Communities In Schools of High Point to participate in the Fill the Bus campaign this summer for Welborn Middle School. We are also involved with various youth and adult financial literacy programs.
