Experience

Marc Schaefer has over 25 years of management and leadership experience in the credit union industry, 13 of which have been as Truliant Federal Credit Union’s President/CEO. At the forefront of the banker lawsuits against the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and credit unions, Mr. Schaefer has addressed hundreds of credit union CEOs and volunteers, met with dozens of Congressional Representatives, Senators and staffers and educated members of the media on the critical role that credit unions play in society.

Under his leadership, Truliant has employed advanced technology to enhance member service including video kiosks, touch screen kiosks, home banking, smart cards and a 64-foot obelisk topped with an ambient light displaying their members-owners’ level of satisfaction.

Education

Mr. Schaefer holds a Master of International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) and a BA in Political Science from UCLA.
