Truliant Partners with Forsyth Education Partnership on School Supply Drive
Release date: 7/15/2012
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (July 16, 2012) – Truliant Federal Credit Union is proud to support the Forsyth Education Partnership’s (FEP) Educator Warehouse by conducting a school supply drive at all of the credit union’s Forsyth County Member Financial Centers July 16 – August 17. The “Fill the Bus” School Supply Drive offers a way for businesses, community groups, members and employees to donate school supplies and other items that can find a new use in a classroom.
Teachers can spend an average of $500 to $800 per year of their own money on classroom supplies according to a national study. The drive will help teachers from several high-need schools in Forsyth County receive supplies needed to support pre-k to 12th grade students in Forsyth County. Boxes will be placed in every Member Financial Center in Clemmons, Kernersville and Winston-Salem to collect donated supplies.
“We are excited about the prospect of helping students and teachers in Forsyth County with our supply drive. We hope the community joins us by dropping off donations to the branch nearest them,” said Marjorie Rorie, director of community services for Truliant. The Fill the Bus School Supply drive lasts from now to August 17, 2012.
