McFarland named VP of Business Services at Truliant FCU

Winston-Salem, N.C. (Jan. 29, 2013) – Truliant Federal Credit Union recently named Rob McFarland Vice President of Business Services. McFarland will work from the Truliant headquarters in Winston-Salem, where he has overall responsibility for the Credit Union’s member business loan portfolio. This key leadership role will be responsible for comprehensive, strategic management of the Business Services Department, product development and promotion, credit analysis and assuring overall documentation quality. McFarland joins Truliant with more than 13 years of commercial banking experience with several regional and community banks in Western North Carolina.

Prior to joining Truliant, McFarland was a Senior Commercial Lending Officer with ASB Bancorp, Inc., where he was responsible for portfolio growth and credit quality, developed community-focused lending strategies and redesigned workflow procedures for increased efficiencies. He was also a VP of Commercial Banking at First Citizens Bancorp, Inc., where he managed the Western North Carolina Region commercial banking portfolio.

McFarland is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.
