Truliant Welcomes New Associate Director to Board

Winston-Salem, N.C. (July 9, 2013) – Truliant Federal Credit Union’s board of directors recently appointed Barbara Ewing as associate director. Ewing has been a member-owner of Truliant since 2009 and is vice president of customer contact with Ralph Lauren Corporation in High Point.

The associate director position is considered training for future board directors, and will help the board set policy, assist in planning, and help ensure Truliant remains in sound financial standing. This position is a one-year appointment and reviewed annually for reappointment.

“As a business partner of Truliant, Barbara saw firsthand how we helped improve the financial lives of the employees at Ralph Lauren. She is an advocate of Truliant, and wanted to use her skills and experience to advance our mission of enhancing our members’ financial lives by volunteering on our Board,” said Greg Thrush, chairman of the board. “We look forward to the relevant experience she will bring to our organization.”

Ewing has been with Ralph Lauren since 2007 and was promoted to vice president in 2012. She has played an integral role in strategy, new product launches, contact center openings and developed programs to measure customer satisfaction. Ewing associates her success with maintaining an inspired culture at Ralph Lauren while constantly reinforcing the focus on the customer.

“I am excited for this opportunity to assist the board in enhancing the financial lives of our member-owners,” said Ewing. “Our focus on the customer is paramount to Ralph Lauren’s success, and this experience fits nicely with Truliant’s focus on their member-owners’ best interests. I look forward to draw upon my experience to add value as a new associate board member at Truliant.”
