Truliant Celebrates Renovation of University City Member Financial Center

Release date: 4/12/2016

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (April 12, 2016) — Truliant Federal Credit Union celebrated the renovation of its University City Member Financial Center today at 1915 Back Creek Drive in Charlotte.

The University City location, near the University of North Carolina Charlotte campus, is the first in a series of branch renovations by Truliant. The credit union plans to begin remodeling and updating more Member Financial Centers to incorporate its Life ImprovedSM brand and member experience.

“Truliant’s difference to the consumer is our trusted guidance that allows our members to make life-improving decisions in the context of their overall life goals,” said Truliant President and CEO Marc Schaefer. “We’re delighted to have re-designed our space at the University Member Financial Center to better accommodate those important interactions while also assisting in handling routine member transactions more conveniently and efficiently.”

The 3,500-square-foot University City location has operated since 2002. The renovation reflects Truliant’s new Life Improved brand with increased amenities, an open design, Wi-Fi access, and teller pods that remove barriers between members and branch staff.

The University location includes drive-through lanes and a Smart ATM that allows members to make deposits without an envelope and see images of checks deposited on receipts. As part of the renovation celebration, Truliant is offering several limited-time offers on certificates and auto loans, plus a drawing for a $500 VISA® gift card.

“This beautiful update of our University location helps us maintain our focus on offering member-owners personal attention, convenience and the latest financial services technology. We simply want to improve their life,” said Courtney Lewis, manager of the University Member Financial Center.

Truliant offers free checking, a variety of low-rate options on auto loans, home equity loans and lines of credit, mortgages and other loans. It also provides No-Cost Credit Reviews for new and existing members to provide guidance on how they can save money and reach their goals. Additionally, Truliant’s Tru2Go mobile banking app offers quick account views and allows users to transfer funds, pay bills and deposit checks from a tablet or smartphone.

The majority of Truliant’s members live in two main metropolitan areas of North Carolina: the Charlotte Mecklenburg and the Piedmont Triad regions. Truliant offers several ways for local residents to become members. Residents who live, work, worship or attend school in Mecklenburg and most surrounding counties can become members, or join through a membership affiliate.
