Second Harvest Food Bank Names D’Annunzio to Board of Directors

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (August 10, 2017) – The Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina has named David D’Annunzio, chief financial officer of Truliant Federal Credit Union, to its Board of Directors.

D’Annunzio joined the Second Harvest board on July 27. Second Harvest Food Bank distributes food to over 18 counties in Northwest North Carolina, working with over 450 partners to provide food to families in need. Last year, the food bank distributed more than 35 million pounds of food, serving over 300,000 people, including 100,000 children.

“Truliant has been a proud partner to Second Harvest Food Bank through the years,” said D’Annunzio said. “We strongly support its mission to feed our neighbors in need through food drives, financial support and through volunteering.”

D’Annunzio is a Certified Public Accountant with over two decades of accounting and financial management experience. He joined Truliant in July of 2015. D’Annunzio has served as chief financial officer at two federal credit unions, including South Florida Educational Federal Credit Union and Heritage Trust Federal Credit Union in South Carolina.

He is active in the credit union movement and is a former chairman of the executive committee of the of the Credit Union National Association’s Chief Financial Officer Council. He is also a former president of the Charleston Chapter of the South Carolina Credit Union League.
 
D’Annunzio attended the University of Richmond, Robins School of Business. He and wife Tracy have three children and he enjoys soccer, racing and project cars.
