Truliant Hosts Annual TruFest Celebration
Release date: 11/3/2017
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (November 3, 2017) – Truliant Federal Credit Union (Truliant) recently celebrated the company’s annual TruFest at the renovated Benton Convention Center in downtown Winston-Salem.
TruFest, held on Columbus Day each year, is a theme-based, interactive event for Truliant. The company-wide, day-long event brings together several hundred Truliant employees from throughout the organization’s Carolinas and Virginia footprint to celebrate departmental and company achievements, learn more about the credit union’s mission and recognize standout employees.
Additionally, it allows senior management to share information about Truliant’s plans for 2018 and beyond.
During this celebration, employees have a chance to meet others from throughout Truliant’s broad regional network. True to this year’s carnival theme, staff wore jeans and flannel shirts, played games and earned prizes, heard music from Truliant’s house band The TruTones, and enjoyed fair food including barbecue, funnel cakes and candy apples. Employees were even able to post fun pictures throughout the day using a customized TruFest app.
“Over the years, TruFest has been a major contributor to creating the type of close knit organizational culture that makes Truliant the special place it is today,” said Todd Hall, chief operating officer for Truliant. “TruFest is one of the ways we show personal gratitude to each member of our team for the hard work, dedication and commitment they show to make Truliant a successful company.”
At the event, Truliant also presented special employee awards. Kristen Dailey, manager of Truliant’s High Point Member Financial Center was named the winner of the Bonita Hauser Philosophy in Action Award. The credit union’s highest award, it is presented to an employee who best emulates Truliant’s philosophy of every member, every time.
