Opening a Speciality Account?

Check the lists below for the documents you will need to get started.

  • If you're interested in opening one or more of the following Specialty Accounts, there are certain documents that you will be required to bring with you. Refer to each list for details. If you have any questions, visit any of our convenient locations, or call 800-832-0382.

    Estate Account

    Things to remember:
    • Executor/Administrator – court generated documents
      or Affidavit of Collection of Personal Property
    • EIN must be used as Tax ID

    Representative Payee

    Things to remember:
    • Letter from Social Security Administration naming the rep-payee
    • SSN for Beneficiary

    Trust: Revocable or Irrevocable

    Things to remember:
    • Certificate of Trust or Trust document
    • Truliant’s Certificate of Trust Affidavit
    • Revocable Trust – use SSN / TIN
    • Irrevocable – TIN only

    Veteran's Federal Fiduciary

    Things to remember:
    • Letter from the Veterans Administration naming the fiduciary
      (Note: we do not allow for Federal Fiduciary Application)
    • SSN for Beneficiary

    Guardianship

    Things to remember:
    • Court documents of Guardianship
      (must be guardian of the Estate, not of the person)
    • SSN of beneficiary

    Minor Accounts

    Things to remember:
    • Minor Accounts: SSN of minor (original card)
    • Custodial Accounts: SSN of minor (original card)

    Power of Attorney

    Things to remember:
    • Truliant's Affidavit of Attorney in Fact form
      (Notary Public signature required)
