Summer on Trade

Contributed by:

When I was in high school, there was a concert series called Marion by Moonlight.  My friends and I would pack a picnic dinner with a blanket and go down to the town square every Thursday night to hear local Jazz, Latin, and Rockabilly bands play. I loved going to hear new music surrounded my friends in a relaxing environment, tucked away in the historical district of the little town Marion, Iowa. Thursday was, by far, my favorite day in the Summer.

It’s never too soon to start saving for college and their future. Tuitions are rising, as is the cost of practically everything that goes along with it!  Even saving a little each month will add up when they graduate.

What’s your favorite thing about the Summer? Is it the longer days, grilling out or blockbuster movies?  For me, it’s our family’s annual beach vacation.

I’ll soon have my toes in the sand and I love knowing my Truliant account information is at my fingertips.  All I need is my Tru2Go app and I can easily and quickly check my balance, make transfers and pay bills.  There is nothing better about Summer than taking it easy, and there’s nothing more convenient, and easy, than mobile banking with Truliant’s app. Did I mention you can deposit checks with it?

The Real World is Getting a Little Greener

Contributed by:

Kids, now young graduates, are pulling that tassel across their cap this graduation season. If you’re like me, you might recall receiving those graduation cards in the mail from Aunt Sue or Uncle Wingate and eagerly hoping for something green to drop out of the card. Hey, I earned it by graduating, didn’t I?

And it sure was nice when it fell out, knowing that I’d have a little money to put into a dwindling savings account or to use for expenses after graduation. Kids may have changed, but the desire for that kind of gift remains strong.
