Summer on Trade

When I was in high school, there was a concert series called Marion by Moonlight.  My friends and I would pack a picnic dinner with a blanket and go down to the town square every Thursday night to hear local Jazz, Latin, and Rockabilly bands play. I loved going to hear new music surrounded my friends in a relaxing environment, tucked away in the historical district of the little town Marion, Iowa. Thursday was, by far, my favorite day in the Summer.

Since, I’m now a North Carolina girl, I’ve been in search of a similar venue and found that the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership created the Summer Music Series in an effort to revitalize historical downtown. There are several different music series this Summer that people from all ages can enjoy, both Friday and Saturday nights.  Along with the great music, there are several shops, galleries, parks and restaurants to explore!

Mighty Eliminators

For many years, Truliant has sponsored the Summer on Trade concert series every Saturday from 7:00pm – 10:00pm from now until September 7th.  Admission is FREE!  So, bring your family, neighbors, coworkers, and friends and come out to enjoy a variety of music including Latin, Jazz, Blues, Rockabilly, Motown, and more… in the historical atmosphere of Downtown Winston-Salem.
