In Remembrance: Truliant Board Member Branch Sternal

Contributed by: Heath Combs

Recently, Truliant Federal Credit Union lost a great proponent and steward of our mission when long-time Board Member Branch Sternal, passed away.

Branch joined Truliant’s board in 1986, serving for several years as Vice Chairman, Executive Committee member, and as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee where he made significant contributions to our long-range planning process.

Branch was with Western Electric/AT&T/Lucent Technologies for 23 years where he put his Ph.D. to good use in their in-house academic training programs. He served our nation in the U.S. Air Force and was a National Examiner for the Malcom Baldridge National Quality Award.

He was proud husband, father, and grandparent; a life-long learner; an avid supporter of the arts, with a particular passion for the Opera; spoke French; enjoyed traveling; and more.

We appreciate the many years that Branch devoted his time and talents to the Credit Union as a volunteer.

He will be missed.
