Congratulations to Truliant Scholarship Winners

Truliant offers congratulations to all 2020 graduating seniors. Each year, Truliant offers twenty $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors. Scholarship winners are selected by academic ability with a minimum grade point average of 3.0, writing ability, school and community activities. 

Learn more about our seniors below:

Abbie Lenhart is a graduating senior from East Forsyth High School. She will attend East Carolina University in the fall, where she plans to study health services management. 

Brooks Atwell is a graduating senior from Northwest Guilford High School. He will attend Duke University in the fall, where he plans to study mathematics and political science. A fun fact about Brooks, during his high school career, he played soccer, and during his senior year, he and his team broke multiple school records and made it to the NCHSAA 4A semi-finals in state playoffs. 

Haley Frye is a graduating senior from Pine Lake Preparatory. She will attend UNC Chapel Hill in the fall, where she plans to study neuroscience. 

Jonathan Weaver is a graduating senior from Fort Mill High School. He will attend Howard University in the fall, where he plans to study finance. After graduating from Howard, Jonathan will be going to Law School. A fun fact about Jonathan, when he was a freshman, he performed at Carnegie Hall. 

Joel Sutton is a graduating senior from Southeast Guilford High School. He will attend North Carolina State University in the fall, where he plans to study electrical engineering. In his free time, Joel loves doing anything outdoors.

Kevin Lester will graduate from Southern Alamance High School. He will attend North Carolina State University in the fall, where he plans to study computer science. While at NC State, Kevin will participate the Air Force ROTC to become a combat rescue officer. In his free time, Kevin is a member of the Alamance County Rescue Unit.

Kharan Parmar will graduate from Ardrey Kell. He will attend UNC Chapel Hill in the fall, where he plans to study business.

Lauren Francis will graduate from Central Academy of Technology and Arts. She will attend UNC Chapel Hill in the fall, where she plans to study psychology on the pre-med track. A fun fact about Lauren, she plays two instruments, piano and guitar, she loves to sing, and she made a CD with her youth band. Lauren also loves food, the ocean and soccer.

Macie Coe will graduate from Western Alamance High School. She will attend the University of South Carolina in the fall, where she plans to study exercise science and minor in psychology, on a pre-med track. A fun fact about Macie, she loves to travel when she can and has been to 11 out of the 50 states, with hopes to visit them all.

Maddie Crotts will graduate from Piedmont High School. She will attend Wingate University in the fall, where she plans to study elementary education. Maddie is the reigning USA National Miss North Carolina Teen, and will compete for the title of USA National Teen in November. While in high school, she founded Teach Kindness, a social media platform where she encourages others to make social media a kind atmosphere. 

Madison Mascorro will graduate from the Forsyth County Early College High School. She will attend Appalachian State University in the fall, where she plans to study hospitality and tourism management. Madison hopes to one day work for the Walt Disney Company. Currently, she is a mascot handler volunteer with the 501st legion and helps raise money for charity by hosting Star Wars events.

Madison McCluney will graduate from Forestview High School. She will attend North Carolina Central University in the fall, where she plans to study kinesiology. A fun fact about Madison, during her sophomore year of high school, she started her own business, Creative Cheer and Dance.

Madison Pyne will graduate from Hickory Ridge High School. She will attend UNC Wilmington in the fall, where she plans to study exercise science. A fun fact about Madison, she spends her free time coaching gymnastics and loves working with kids.

Molly Boger will graduate from Davie County Early College High School. She will attend UNC Chapel Hill, where she plans to study biostatistics. A fun fact about Molly, she is the President of the Davie County SURF Board (Students Understanding Real Futures).

Natalie Brown will graduate from Walter Hines Page High School. She will attend East Carolina University in the fall, where she plans to study nursing. A fun fact about Natalie, she loves to fish and play softball. She was names the 2019 Metro 4A Conference Softball Pitcher of the Year and hopes to play club softball at ECU.  

Reanna Wilmouth will graduate from Rockingham County Early College High School. She will attend Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Dayton Beach, where she plans to study aeronautical science and minor in flight. A fun fact about Reanna, during her high school career, she loved and plays sports.

Taylor Dixon will graduate from Mallard Creek High School. She will attend UNC Chapel Hill in the fall, where she plans to study nursing. A fun fact about Taylor, she dance for 16 years and competed for 8.

Teddy Dano will graduate from Lake Norman Charter. He will attend North Carolina State University in the fall, where he plans to study chemical engineering. A fun fact about Teddy is, he’s a black belt in taekwondo.

Emma Sheperis will graduate from Concord High School. She will attend UNC Charlotte in the fall, where she plans to study biology. A fun fact about Emma, she loves animals and wants to become a veterinarian.
