Buying a house is a big goal for many of us. But with ridiculous prices and rising interest rates, it can seem like now might not be a great time to settle down. But I want to throw out a reason why now may be a good time to buy a home, in my opinion.
The biggest reason, and really the most important reason, why now is a good time to buy a home is because that's what you want to do. And I think it's important to remember that this should always be the driving force behind why you buy a house. Not because your parents think you should, or you've reached a certain age and this is what you have to do, or everyone you know was out buying homes. In the grand scheme of things none of that matters, right? If you have the financial means to make this very big financial decision, and it makes sense for you, and it's what you truly want to do - I say go for it.
None of us can predict the future. So, holding out and trying to time when prices or interest rates will fall is an unpredictable game to play. And if right now is the time that makes the most sense for you to purchase a home, then let that guide you in making your decision to buy.
