Safe Deposit Boxes

Do You Offer Safe Deposit Boxes?

Due to advancements in technology, the use of in-home safes and the adoption of electronic document scanning, there has been a significant decrease in the number of members that use safe deposit boxes. As such, we have discontinued this service at the two Winston-Salem locations that offered it.

If you have a safe deposit box, you must make plans to remove the contents of your box. You will need to schedule an appointment to empty your box and to turn in the keys. All boxes must be emptied no later than June 30, 2021.

Members can easily make an appointment online, and can choose the day and time that is most convenient. If your safe deposit box is located at our Hanes Mall/Corporate Office location, please click here to make an appointment. NOTE: Since we are discontinuing this service, we do not require members to return both keys originally provided. Only one key is needed to process the closure of the box. If unable to locate either key, please call us at 800.822.0382 to schedule a time when you can be present, along with a locksmith, to gain access to your box. A $50.00 fee is required for the locksmith to gain access to your safe deposit box if you do not have a key. A valid and current photo ID is required. Only the original box leasee and/or authorized persons will be able to claim box contents.
