Safely dispose of confidential documents, junk mail and old bills on the spot.

About Truliant Credit Union

Truliant is hosting a series of Community Shred Days1 that are FREE – and open to the public!

Truliant partners with Shred-It® to provide an on-site paper shredding mobile unit. Shred-It provides cutting-edge dcoument destruction2 and information security services. Residents can have confidential papers securely destroyed at no cost. All shredded paper is recycled into paper products.

Documents include:
  • Junk mail
  • Mixed paper
  • Folders, light cardboard (no corrugated cardboard)

To help ensure everyone has a chance to take advantage of this free service, please limit materials to a maximum of four boxes or 100 pounds per car.

Truliant staff will be on-site to help and to answer any questions you may have.

What to Bring

  • Financial letters, documents and any paper with personal financial information.
  • Old income tax returns. The IRS reccommends you keep tax returns at least 3 years.
  • Labels with personal information: shipping labels, envelopes, etc.
  • Photos (can be stolen and used as a fake ID).
  • Paper clutter you no longer need.

New community shred days will be added at the first of the month. Tell your friends and family.

(1) Documents are shredded while you wait. Truliant will not be responsible for documents left on-site.
(2) Shred-It does not accept corrugated cardboard, metal, staples, three-ring binders, refuse paper, plastic, medicines, chemicals, or batteries at these events.
