FAQs
A balance transfer is the process of moving debt from one credit card or account to another, usually to take advantage of lower interest rates.
By combining multiple credit card balances into one account you have only one monthly payment, one due date, easier budgeting, and tracking.
You can request a balance transfer by contacting your bank or credit card issuer, either online, by phone, or in person.
In most cases, you can transfer balances from several cards, if you stay within the credit limit of your new account.
Balance transfers can impact your credit score, especially if you open a new account or increase your total available credit.
Balance transfers usually take between 5-7 business days, but the timeframe may vary depending on the institutions involved.
Most banks charge a balance transfer fee, typically a percentage of the amount transferred. Be sure to check your card's terms and conditions.
Take advantage of our limited-time balance transfer offer to simplify your finances and save on interest. With Truliant, you can enjoy a 0% APR on balance transfers for the first 12 months for the MaxBack credit card, and 15 months for the Radiant credit card. To qualify, transfers must be completed within the first three months of opening your account and must come from accounts outside of Truliant. After the promotional period ends, any remaining balance will move to the card’s standard, non-variable APR. A balance transfer fee applies, and transferred balances are not eligible for rewards.
