Truliant Foundation Awards First Bridge Grant to SAFE, Inc.
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (October 13, 2026) – The Truliant Foundation has given its first Bridge Grant to SAFE, Inc of Graham, N.C. The grant will provide $15,000 each year for three years to support SAFE’s Pathways to Stability project in southern Alamance County and nearby communities.
The Bridge Grant is the Truliant Foundation’s first multi-year grant program, which will provide meaningful support to nonprofit organizations with the financial stability and consistency necessary to create real change and impact in their communities.
SAFE, Inc. (Southern Alamance Family Empowerment) is a nonprofit organization serving Alamance County, North Carolina. Its Pathways to Stability project helps individuals and families build a more stable financial future through food assistance, access to resources, job preparation, transportation support, and connections to housing, health care, and other community services.
SAFE’s community workers and social workers guide people one-on-one, helping to secure benefits, build job skills, solve urgent problems, and work toward financial security and independence.
“We are truly grateful to the Truliant Foundation for believing in SAFE and supporting our work year after year. It means more to us than simply receiving a grant,” said Tiffanie Jackson, executive director of SAFE.
“Having funding we can count on helps us plan and build strong programs. It also helps us be there for our community, helping more individuals with the opportunity and support to build a stable, independent future.”
The Bridge Grant program provides $15,000 a year for three years to one nonprofit selected from a group of nonprofits invited to apply. The nonprofit must serve a Truliant member community and must have received Foundation funding before. Five groups in Truliant’s eastern Piedmont region were invited to apply this year and in 2027, the Truliant Foundation will identify the next region of Truliant communities served by existing Truliant Foundation grantees.
“We created this program as another tool we can use to help the Truliant Foundation be a community bridge to a brighter tomorrow,” said Atticus Simpson, executive director of the Truliant Foundation. “Partnering with a strong organization like SAFE is not only helping us to bridge the gap, it’s also helping us to empower Tiffanie and her team to accelerate their positive impact in the Truliant members communities we are serving together.”
