Truliant to Conduct Grant Webinars

Winston-Salem, N.C. (April 2, 2013) - Truliant Federal Credit Union will conduct two free 45-minute grant webinars Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at 3:30 p.m. and Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 2 p.m. These sessions will teach organizations about the Credit Union and guide them through the specifics of successfully completing the Truliant Community Mini Grant application.

To qualify for the Truliant Community Mini Grant, community and faith-based agencies must impact one or more of the following areas: financial literacy and/or business education, economic development, health or human services or youth development. ”We awarded thirty mini grants to nonprofit organizations in our markets last year,” said Marjorie Rorie, director of community services for Truliant. “This is just one way that Truliant impacts and gives back to our local communities.”

Grant applications will be available at local Truliant Member Financial Centers starting May 15, 2013, or can be downloaded from our website. All grant applications must be submitted by June 28, 2013 in order to be considered.

Additionally, Truliant has set up a donor advised fund with the Winston Salem Foundation to assist with the grant making process. In partnering with the Winston-Salem Foundation, Truliant will be better positioned to help more organizations in their local communities.
