Truliant Opens Huntersville Member Financial Center
Release date: 8/13/2015
WINSTON-SALEM, NC (August 13, 2015) — Truliant Federal Credit Union held a ribbon cutting today to celebrate the opening of its newest full-service branch location in Mecklenburg County’s Huntersville community.
Truliant’s free-standing 3,875-square-foot Huntersville Member Financial Center is located north of Charlotte off I-77 at 9706 Gilead Road.
The 63-year-old credit union has had a presence in Charlotte for nearly three decades and is now dotting Mecklenburg County with new locations. The expansion will give Truliant a total of 14 Member Financial Centers in the region by the end of 2016.
The Member Financial Centers reflect Truliant’s new Life Improved brand with increased amenities, an open design, Wi-Fi access and teller pods that remove barriers to improve member interactions. The Huntersville branch includes three drive-thru lanes and a Smart ATM that distributes multi-denominational amounts and accepts deposits without envelopes.
“This location helps Truliant continue to fulfill our longstanding commitment to improving lives with caring guidance. We’re not just opening a branch in Huntersville, we’re bringing a set of values to this community that are based on meeting your long-range goals for personal financial strength and freedom,” said Marc Schaefer, president and CEO of Truliant.
The branch is being managed by Kristin Anderson. She will lead efforts to grow membership, help member-owners accomplish financial goals and cultivate strong relationships with existing and future business partners, with a goal of providing greater access to a better banking alternative to local residents.
The Huntersville branch is Truliant’s seventh new expansion location to open since November. Most residents of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region are eligible to join the credit union.
Truliant has opened Charlotte-area Member Financial Centers in Mint Hill, Harrisburg and Park Road, Rivergate, Ballantyne and Mallard Creek sections. The credit union will soon open regional locations in the Waverly, South Boulevard and Cornelius areas.
Additionally, Truliant recently launched a new website to enhance its member experience that features intuitive functionality; a design that adjusts to smart TVs, personal computers, tablets and mobile devices; and interactive online calculators and decision tools that provide guidance to improve members’ lives.
Truliant offers free interest checking, a variety of low-rate options on our auto loans, home equity loans and lines of credit, mortgages and other loans. It also provides No-Cost Credit Reviews for new and existing members to provide guidance on how members can save money and reach their goals.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing a new banking option to Huntersville and its surrounding communities. We look forward to building partnerships with local residents, businesses and charitable organizations,” said Kristin Anderson, manager of the new location.
“At Truliant, you’re not a number. We give you access when, where and how you want it, without sacrificing service or paying high fees. We’re eager to grow our membership here and share our mission with our new neighbors,” she added.
