Truliant Opens Mallard Creek Member Financial Center
Release date: 7/22/2015
WINSTON-SALEM, NC (July 22, 2015) — Truliant Federal Credit Union held a ribbon cutting today to celebrate the opening of the credit union’s newest full-service branch location in north Charlotte’s Mallard Creek community.
The 2,600-square-foot Mallard Creek location is inside the newly completed section of Charlotte’s I-485 loop at 3024 B Prosperity Church Road in Charlotte. It is part of an expansion that will give Truliant a total of 14 Member Financial Centers in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region by the end of 2016.
The 63-year-old credit union has had a presence in Charlotte for nearly three decades and is now dotting its I-485 corridor and interior with new locations.
The Member Financial Centers reflect Truliant’s new Life Improvedsm brand with increased amenities, an open design, Wi-Fi access and teller pods that remove barriers to improve member interactions. The Mallard Creek branch includes a walk-up Smart ATM that distributes multi-denominational amounts and accepts deposits without envelopes.
In addition, the Mallard Creek Member Financial Center includes ancillary space that serves as a training hub for Truliant employees. Mallard Creek is Truliant’s tenth Charlotte-Mecklenburg location and brings its total area footprint to 29 branches.
“Who is there to help consumers make choices that truly improve their lives? That is what Truliant stands for and we’re making good on that promise by having our carefully selected and highly trained staff conveniently located where you live, work, worship and play. Mallard Creek is one of those wonderful neighborhoods where we bring our unique offering directly to you,” said Marc Schaefer, president and CEO of Truliant.
The location is being managed by Jeff Strickland. He will lead efforts to grow membership, help member-owners accomplish financial goals and cultivate strong relationships with existing and future business partners, with a goal of providing greater access to a better banking alternative to Charlotte-Mecklenburg residents.
Truliant Federal Credit Union is opening 10 new Queen City locations by the end of 2016. Most residents of the region are eligible to join.
Since November, Truliant has opened Charlotte-area Member Financial Centers in Mint Hill, Harrisburg and Park Road, Rivergate and Ballantyne sections. The credit union will soon open Mecklenburg regional locations in the Waverly, South Boulevard and Cornelius areas.
Additionally, Truliant recently launched a new website to enhance its member experience that features intuitive functionality; a design that adjusts to smart TVs, personal computers, tablets and mobile devices; and interactive online calculators and decision tools that provide guidance to improve members’ lives.
Truliant offers free interest checking, a variety of low-rate options on our auto loans, home equity loans and lines of credit, mortgages and other loans. It also provides No-Cost Credit Reviews for new and existing members to provide guidance on how members can save money and reach their goals.
“At Truliant, you’re not a number. We give you access when, where and how you want it, without sacrificing service or paying high fees. We’re excited about growing our membership in this community. I’m proud to be a part of that,” Strickland said.
