Truliant Opens Cornelius Member Financial Center

Truliant Opens Cornelius Member Financial Center

Release date: 7/28/2016

Winston-Salem, N.C. (July 28, 2016) — Truliant Federal Credit Union held a ribbon cutting today to celebrate the opening of its newest full-service branch location in Mecklenburg County’s fast-growing Cornelius community.

The 2,395-square-foot Cornelius Member Financial Center is located north of Charlotte off I-77 at 21714 Catawba Ave., Suite 6A in the Antiquity Town Center planned community.

The 64-year-old credit union has had a presence in Charlotte for nearly three decades and is now dotting Mecklenburg County with new locations. The expansion will give Truliant a total of 14 Member Financial Centers in the region by the end of 2016.

Cornelius is Truliant’s second Lake Norman-area location. The credit union opened a Huntersville Member Financial Center in 2015.

“Cornelius now has a great option for consumers to conveniently access low rate loans, better rates on savings, and start-up access to your accounts through mobile technology that will knock your socks off,” said Marc Schaefer, president and CEO of Truliant.

“Plus our quality staff are here to provide thoughtful guidance with your best interests at heart – not to try and sell you on products and services – resulting in better financial choices and a better life,” he added.

The branch is being managed by Dan Crouse. He will lead efforts to grow membership, help member-owners accomplish financial goals and cultivate strong relationships with existing and future business partners, with a goal of providing greater access to a better banking alternative to local residents.

The branch is Truliant’s eighth new expansion location to open since November 2014. Most residents of the Charlotte-Mecklenburg region are eligible to join the credit union.

Truliant has opened Greater Charlotte-area Member Financial Centers in Mint Hill, Harrisburg, Park Road, Steele Creek, Cornelius, Ballantyne and Mallard Creek communities. The credit union will soon open additional locations in the Waverly and South Boulevard areas of the Queen City.

The Member Financial Centers reflect Truliant’s Life Improved brand and feature increased amenities, an open design, Wi-Fi access and teller pods that remove barriers to improve member interactions.

The Cornelius branch includes a walk-up Smart ATM that distributes multi-denominational amounts and accepts deposits without envelopes and a night drop box for business deposits anytime.

Truliant offers free checking, a variety of low-rate options on our auto loans, home equity loans and lines of credit, mortgages and other loans. It also provides No-Cost Credit Reviews for new and existing members to provide guidance on how members can save money and reach their goals.
